First this was a commission for on go gaia, for her sig or something, the finished image can be seen here [link]
the ref I was given is: [link]
EDIT amked sure to note if you looked at the links, the hair desing isn't mine!
so why did I load it up like this? Simple more cc on my desing skills. The goal was to design a costume for klody's ice queen, and something she could use in her sig. "hence simple bg"
But back to the costume I really wanted something that reminded me of a Christmas bell, I when with a shimmery snow them, with patterns on the main skirt, and silver underneath the slits, held on by a lighter blue cross ribbon.
The upper half I though would look nice with some icy like trim. I added metallic blue armor on the sides, and silver jewels around.
Finally I love those big flowy sleeves so I made them light pink "to add a little more color" and wanted them to shimmer on the way down, almost like the shimmer was a pattern too. Trimmed with fur, and white lace gloves.
A little less detail then the last one, but was inked by hand so that was part of it. Please leave lots of feedback good or bad, I want you comments and cc, it helps me improve. Try to keep these one design related like the last one, but I won't turn down other cc in the image ^_^
so ya cc comments, and some favs would be loved dearys ^_____^
*oh ya, no plain white bg, just to better show of the white.
hmm it reminds me of a old fairytale with an ice queen but i cant put my finger on it

*pounces painfully* Omg yay! Being an icequeen myself *hint hint name is Shiva* I apreciate this more than most anyone. XD And it's soooo good! Your colors are always so vibrant and full of life! I espessially like the sleaves, what with their sparkly transparency and whatnot. And the snowflakes on her fingers are a nice touch n.n

Spent a good while looking at this image... I love the colors and the overall design, so I'm going to be nitpicky. The silverish hoops on her sleeves - they looks great as decoration, but I think you might want to dwell a little more on how they affect the physics of the sleeve with their weight I adore the decoration of the midsection!! Somehow I have an easier time adding minute details when inking by hand.. maybe I'm just weird. I think the patterns on the skirt could be emphasized more by maybe making them a little more detailed and intricate.. you don't have to kill yourself but I think a bit more would be beneficial.
and now thanks to ~bluecat's comment I'm going to be thinking all night about the vague memories I have about an old cartoon/story/fairytale about an ice queen o.o;;

Hn well you asked so I'll give it to you. First off the design is gorgeous, far outstriping my own cg'ing skills but I am studying fashion design so I'll treat this like I needed to actually MAKE the costume. ^_^ The skirt looks odd at the bottom, does it not fully circle around behind? Logically we should see something, even if just a darker fill behind the flaring. How delicate is the pink sheer? If it's meant to be nicely drapeable there should be a few more folds by her elbow on her right arm, as it is it seems almost like a cotton. The rest looks really good, but those rings should be pulling down and the end of the sleeves have the same only half effect. Also if those rings aren't just bars we should see almost a puckering by where they form, and since the sleeves are sheer maybe the continuation of them on the underside? Just what I could FIND to comment on, wasn't easy...the image is stunning and I love it. ^_^
