Wow this took so long to do!!! I drew it almost a month ago and it took almost 3 weeks to color.
This is my vision of death caring little children off in the night. This drawing was inspired by but in the end became a lot different then my original idea
Its been almost a year since I did something with colored pencil, and I am really happy with how it turned out. I wanted to use a lot of cool blues hues, and to make the children almost hidden in her smokey ends. I also wanted death to blend into the bg a little, to make her appear less fearful and more one with nature. I think it worked.
Of course it looks better here, then the scan. I thought I’d crate a simple b/w frame for it, I plan on adding a black bristle bored frame tomorrow, but since I don’t have any tonight I ps it in.
I think this is a more surreal drawing, I really didn’t know where to put it >< so I hope that’s ok.
Ya anyways comment coloring tips, hints, cc, and favs are always loved
I am so proud of this one, I am gonna make a print for the hell of it ^__^ also I may sell the original, if u r interested note me ^_^
The title reminds me of the song Sarah Jessica Parker (I think it's her) sings in Hocus Pocus... "Come little children I'll take thee away, into a land of enchantment... Come little children the times come to play, in my garden of magic..." At least, I think that's how it goes. o.o
Anyway... About the art...
You never cease to amaze me. This is so fabulous that it makes me feel ashamed. I enjoy how you drew death; too many people use the grim reaper skeleton man idea. The children look so sad and emaciated, almost, which gives it an aura of sorrow that adds to the beauty. Her hands are also amazing: I don't think I can further embellish on that. o.o

If you go by double negatives, two wrongs DO make a right. And three rights make a left, so six wrongs=one left.
